| Worms are a fact of life for discus; every discus carries its own complement of worms. When in good health these worms are not a problem, but as soon as the fish is stressed or bullied etc its natural immunity is compromised and worms can take a hold and cause havoc. A sure sign of a worm problem is when a discus still eats, yet is wafer thin with the famous pinched in look above the eyes. New wormer plus will rid discus of tapeworms, leeches, gill flukes, body flukes, and internal helminths such as round worms, pin worms, nematodes, hydra, ick, velvet and protozoa plus a host of other pest. This product can be mixed with other aquarium products and medications. Even snails will never again be a pest when using this product just once a month. Although a second dose after seven days may be needed in heavy infestations of flukes, or if treating for Hexamita. So when your discus looks emaciated or just worn out use new wormer plus on a regular basis and do them a favour. Using new wormer plus once a month will help to keep your valued discus and tropical fish in tip top health. It is not necessary to turn off U/V sterilisation during its application, but it is advisable to remove carbon etc whilst using this medication for full effect. This product can be used with rays and is safe to use in aquariums with plants, and it will not harm the biological filtration in your filters. Not to be confused with the old wormer plus, the new version has a different mix of ingredients and is manufactured by Kusuri products ltd that holds a manufacturing licence to this product. It is different to the recently used powdered wormers. Flubendazole is still the main active ingredient in the new version, then naturally sourced calcium carbonate acts as a gentle booster and pick me up after the pests are killed. This product does not contain antibiotics and is still marketed with the small animal exemption scheme. It is 100% legal; VMD approved, passed with risk phrases also safety phrases and has been covered with a COSHH sheet. The new wormer plus has a easy to use 30 gallon measuring scoop (supplied) in every pack which is another improvement, making it easy to measure out and to administer the treatment. | Add one level scoop-full of powder per 30 gallons of aqurium water. |
| Add to a food grade container, an old drinking cup is fine as long as it is not used for human use after. |
| Add just off the boil water to the powder, mix well and allow to cool. |
| Mix again and add the mixture to aquarium slowly over a one-hour period. |

| QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS Q:-Will new.......wormer plus make my PH, GH go higher? A:-No, only a very miniscule amount of naturally sourced calcium carbonate is blended with the flubendazole, and this will hardly effect any readings. A:- Can new.......wormer plus be used with plants? Q:- Yes it is 100% safe to use with plants. A:-I have stingrays, can this product be used with rays? Q:- Yes it is 100% safe to use with rays. Q:-Will this product harm my filteration? A:-No, it will not harm any filter systems as long as you follow the instructions on the back of the packs. Q:-Will this wormer kill snails? A:-Yes, this product will kill certain types of snails, if you have any you keep as pets. It will be nessary not to use this product with them, and treat fish in a second tank away from them. The same goes for shrimps!! Q:-Has this wormer any insecticides as another wormer on the market for koi from Kusuri? A:-No, new......wormer plus has no azadirachin (insecticides) in it's mix at all. This is why a second wormer has come out just for discus and tropicals in the Kusuri range. Apart from no insecticides, this product is a differant strength per gallon from fluke M which, by the way is another excellent product. Q:-How long do I leave the wormer in the water before I can do a water change? A:-It is best to do a good water change before treating with this product, and leave any water changes four days before doing any more. Q:-Do I need to treat a second dose? A:-Only in cases of heavy infestations will a second dose be needed. Q:-Do I need to turn off my UV? A:-No it is fine to leave any UV's on during treating with this product. Q:-Will the "off from boil" water distroy the medication? A:-Not at all. This medication can with stand high temperatures, which makes dissolving this product better. With this wormer you will not see as much chalky white deposits settling in your tank or foaming on top of the water. |
